It's been a busy few weeks here at Casamera! 12 days ago when we hit launch we never imagined we'd be here, just a few days in with over 500 backers and growing strong!
This wouldn't be possible without the team that's working in the background and making all of this happen. So to show appreciation for these awesome creatives, this update is for them:

It's now been a full 7 days since we launched and thanks to your support we’re well over 450% funded!
Before we get into this update, I’d like to state the 3 things that we’re unwilling to compromise on: the quality of the bathrobe, the general style/design, and our delivery goals. Adding a new feature may change the production process completely and drag us way behind the timeline.
It also might drive my partner Soli crazy. He can't afford to lose any more hair.
With that said, if you’ve got a cool idea or suggestion for a stretch goal, you can leave comments on our main project or under this update. We read and discuss every single one of them.
There are a few key points I wanted to address in the hopes of reassuring some of your concerns. I'll try to make this quick and tidy. If you don't want to read all this mumbo-jumbo just skip over to the summary in the end.
A lot of backers have been asking whether or not we’ll offer a robe in their size and to get a clearer picture, we set up this short survey for you to fill out. This is just to get a general idea and in our next update, we’ll provide you with instructions on exactly how to measure your chest, shoulders and hem length. The goal is for you to get a bathrobe that would fit you PERFECTLY.

Learning from last year's mistakes, we decided not to charge for shipping during this campaign. Mainly, this is to provide the most accurate shipping rates for you. If you want to learn more about the thought process behind this read on below:
We went ahead and added the estimated shipping costs on the campaign page and I've attached it below, as well. For now, these are as accurate as we can make them. Please note: these rates could change once we have the full picture.
One thing we did well last year (that we’ll be replicating with this project) is navigating customs and duties fees for our international backers. Our strategy here is to use the appropriate HS codes, which luckily in our case, raises very few red flags with customs (These codes are the standard international reference for classifying products for duty and clearance).
This is just the beginning! Now the real work begins. With 40 days to go, we’ll be pushing this campaign, to get it in front of as many people as possible. The bigger the campaign gets, the more variations we can offer you (i.e. sizing and colors). We’re super grateful for any shares:

First of all thank you so much for showing up and backing our project at such a weird, weird time for everybody.
Just the night before we launched, I was sitting in my bed reading comments on Kickstarter forums and subreddits thinking this was the worst idea ever and our attempt at making the perfect bathrobe will fail miserably.
I woke up at 5 am the next day with the intention of calling my partner Soli in Egypt and canceling the whole thing. Thankfully he talked me out of it.
Suffice to say that the decision to launch considering current world events was not easy to make but I’m so glad we pushed on! We can't properly express how thankful we are for all the support and trust we've been getting from all of you. Thank you truly.
There's a couple of things I wanted to address in the hopes of reassuring some of your concerns. I'll mention these briefly in this update and will include more detailed information in the updates to follow.
As of right now, everything is running normally in Egypt and we have already signed agreements with key suppliers and manufacturers. What we’re working on now is minor improvements to the design and other aspects to make sure you get the best robe possible.
Since we’ll be shipping the robes out from our warehouse in the US and directly from Egypt, we’re confident we’ll be able to offer discounted worldwide shipping and reasonable shipping rates in North America. We're still working on getting accurate shipping rates from our fulfillment partners.
Once these are finalized we'll include them on the campaign page and publish an update about it.
Our goal is to provide a range of sizes that will fit each and every one of you perfectly. We’ll try to include as many sizes as possible to accommodate everybody but because we’re limited by minimum order quantities, we’ll only be able to make a certain size if enough backers request it. That means the more people you get to support this project, the better our chances of making your size!
Some backers brought up the fact that in the video, the length of the robe looks to be sitting around the knee area. That's because the footage was shot using an early version of the prototype. The final product should have the robe sit comfortably in your mid-calf area (below the knee).
If you're interested in getting your hands on a robe and haven't made a move yet, we're offering it for $59 (normally $119) until midnight EST today. All pledges made in this window will also receive a bonus item contained within.
If you miss this early discount, fear not. We'll be offering it for a nice intro price throughout the campaign, this is just our most discounted deal to kick things off with panache.
